Dear Colleagues,
 
Implementation of Cost Allocation Guidelines (CAG) for UGC-funded and Non-UGC-funded Activities – Financial Year 2024/25
 
1. I am writing to thank all units (both academic and professional service) for your support, feedbacks and effort in assisting the implementation of Cost Allocation Guidelines (CAG) for financial year 2023/24.
 
2. The new financial year will soon commence on July 1, 2024. The three online CAG modules (1) the Academic Staff Time Survey, (2) the Central Classroom Booking (for charging automation) and (3) the Departmental Bookable Room Recording (for reporting room utilization), will continue to be utilized.
 
3. The Academic Staff Time Survey, to be conducted in 3 rounds in July, October and March, will start with the 1st Round in July 2024. The Survey is mandatory and is to be administered by the Management Information Unit (MIU). Academic staff who are to participate in the survey are drawn by random sampling. Same as previous surveys, sampled academic staff are to submit survey and Heads of Departments are to approve the data submitted in the CAG system.
